DAY 1: Arrive to the airport of Cuiabā.
Departure toward Poconč (Capital of the Pantanal); brief visit of Poconč and departure toward the pousada "Santa Tereza".
In the evening, after the supper in pousada, is scheduled a brief nighttime safari, during which there is the possibility to meet various animals and nighttime birds, among which, wolves, tapirs, peccary and the ocelot.
DAY 2: Departure in the morning with destination "Jaguar Research Center", located on the edge of the Cuiabā river in the area of greater jaguar's presence, we'll get to the end of Transpantaneira (the famous road that crosses the Pantanal North for 150 km), then we'll take a boat that will lead us through the waters of the Cuiabā river for several hours until arriving at the research center, where we leave our luggage and have lunch.
Rest of the day completely dedicated at the search of the jaguar.
In the evening, after dinner, for who were interested, is planned a small lecture on the jaguar's biology and habits, usually attended by professional biologists.
DAY 3: Full day dedicated to research, study and contemplation of the jaguar.
Besides the Jaguar, in this area, we'll have the opportunity to meet families of giant otters and tapirs...
In addition to innumerable kinds of birds, caymans of the Pantanal (Jacaré), iguanas, etc...
The Jaguar Research Center is the world's leading research center for wild jaguar's viewing and study, this due to the record density of this cat in the area.
This animal spend most of his time hunting the caymen, alwais omni present in the region. It is also the only lodge in the world that guarantees the sighting of the jaguar, in fact if a customer spends the 3 days/3 nights in the research center and doesn't see the jaguar, we offer other 3 days/3 nights free to stay in a lodge in every time, over 2 years (after availability consultation). The 98.5% of our customers over the past three years has seen the jaguar, and usually for several hours and from close range.
The entire Pantanal hosts between 4000 and 7000 exemplars of the third largest cat in the world, and in the region of the research center have been cataloged more than 200 units (up to November 2010 were recorded over 1,200 sightings).
DAY 4: Full day dedicated to the research and the study of the Jaguar.
DAY 5: Departure from the "Jaguar Research Center" to make return to the Pousada Santa Tereza.
Lunch in pousada and in the afternoon, it is foresaw an ecological walk nearby the pousada.
Supper and overnight stay in pousada.
DAY 6: Departure in the morning to complete a ride (or walk, to choice) inside the pousada.
The lunch will effect in pousada and, in the afternoon, you can be enjoyed of a beautiful stroll in canoe along a river, situated in the proximities, where is possible to fish in total relax in water's courses considered among the fishiest of the world and where we will come to contact with the dangerous piranha.
Supper and overnight stay in pousada.
DAY 7: Return at the airport of Cuiaba, with possible visiting to some shops of handicraft commodity located in Poconč for the purchase of typical products and souvenirs, in relation to flight schedules.
